A #MeToo Book About Sylvia Plath
My delightful interview with Sara
Hello, Plathies—
I write to you from the dystopian idiocy of America under another Trump administration, with the good news that I was lucky enough to be interviewed by the brilliant Sara Petersen, author of Momfluenced and the newsletter “In Pursuit of Clean Countertops.” Talking with Sara about Sylvia Plath, gaslighting, #MeToo, and Harriet Rosenstein was an actual joy. I hope you have as much fun reading as I did talking with her.
And I hope you’re taking care of yourselves, wherever you are, in this terrible time. I can say with surety— Sylvia Plath would have hated Donald Trump’s (and Elon Musk’s, and Mark Zuckerberg’s, and the whole lot of these slime buckets’) guts, and she would have shouted it from the rooftops for everyone to hear. I know she would have been doing the work to help those in danger. I know I look to her as an inspiration to do the same. I hope you do, too.
In Solidarity, and hope—
Emily
